General
Everything on Calcenta is published for general informational and educational purposes. We work hard to get the mathematics right - every calculator is covered by automated tests against known values - but a correct formula applied to incomplete inputs still produces an estimate, not a decision.
No result on this site should be treated as professional advice, and no professional relationship is created by using it.
Financial calculators
Our mortgage, loan, auto loan, amortization, paycheck, retirement, credit card, and affordability calculators are not financial, investment, or tax advice.
- Rates and terms vary. Your actual interest rate depends on your credit profile, the lender, the loan program, and the market on the day you lock. The rate you enter here is an assumption.
- Costs are estimated. Property taxes, insurance premiums, PMI rates, HOA dues, and dealer fees differ by location and provider. Our defaults are illustrative.
- Tax figures are simplified. Our paycheck calculator uses published 2025 federal brackets and a single effective state rate. It does not model your Form W-4 settings, local taxes, credits, or itemized deductions, so it will not match your payslip exactly.
- Projections are not predictions. Retirement and compound-interest results assume a constant rate of return. Real markets do not deliver constant returns, and past performance does not indicate future results.
Confirm any figure that matters with a licensed lender, a tax professional, or a qualified financial adviser before acting on it.
Health calculators
Our BMI, calorie, BMR, body fat, and due date calculators are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- They cannot see your history. No formula accounts for your medical conditions, medications, body composition, or individual needs.
- They carry real error bars. Metabolic equations typically land within about 10% of measured values, which can be several hundred calories a day.
- BMI is a population screening tool. It cannot distinguish muscle from fat, and it can misclassify muscular or low-muscle individuals in either direction.
- Due dates are estimates. Only about 4% of babies arrive on the calculated date. Your provider’s ultrasound dating takes precedence.
Always speak to a doctor, registered dietitian, or midwife before changing your diet, exercise, or care - and never delay seeking medical advice because of something you read here. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Everyday calculators and converters
Percentage, age, date, tip, and unit conversion tools use exact, defined relationships and should be reliable to the precision shown. Even so, check any result that carries legal, contractual, or engineering consequences against an authoritative source.

How we try to earn your trust anyway
Every calculator page shows the formula it uses, works through a numeric example, and states its assumptions. Our methodology page documents our sources and how we test. We would rather you check our working than take our word for it.
